SHAA SA SYMPOSIUM

The next SHAA full day symposium will take place on Friday 16th September 2011.

Registration begins at 8.15am for a prompt start at 9am. {The venue does open earlier for anyone who wants to leave early to beat the traffic.} 

The symposium will end around 5pm. For those who would like to stay on for drinks to avoid the traffic, we will need numbers.  

The symposium will take place at The Mediterranean (The Bedfordview Conference Centre). It is relatively close to the airport, but most importantly it is cheaper than our previous venues, which enables us to keep costs down. In many cases we need to cover costs for the speakers. A map is attached. For those travelling from a distance, or flying in, try to travel in a group and share car hire. 

On arrival there will be tea / coffee and muffins. Mid-morning we will be served tea/coffee and cake. Lunch will be served around the indoor pool area. There will be mid-afternoon tea /coffee and biscuits. 

The symposium costs are as follows:

●  Paid-up members of SHAA / SASLHA / SAAA R700
●  Members living more than 500 km from the venue - R 400
●  Non-members pay R 1000

Fees MUST be paid in advance – by the 12th September. If you deposit money into the account close to this date you need to send proof of payment to the Treasurer by the 12th. The venue wants exact numbers by the 13th September.

No-one may just rock up and pay on the day because we will not have reserved place for you and we receive no refund for “no-shows”.

So far we have a 3 hour ethics presentation – for 6 CPD points. 

We are awaiting confirmation from other speakers for another 3 hours – 3 points. 

Please reserve your place soon – we have organised a venue for 60 delegates. Please let Junaid know if you are coming AND if you will want to stay on for drinks afterwards. junaid.domingo@unitron.co.za
